In some cases, you might face below mentioned error message in Livecache, you may follow the below steps to overcome the error message.

loader.LoaderError: [-25008] Logon failure; previous user's (SUPERDBA) connection was restored.
ERROR : liveCache not started

This error generally occurs when the user id, password and the necessary settings  stored in \conf\.upc are invalid, when the livecache is started from LC10, remote command is executed from SAP level using the settings available in .upc file. Hence it is important to maintain valid user and password using below command.

 

Syntax : dbmcli -d (DBSID) -n (hostname) -u control,(controlpwd) user_sap SAP(DBSID),(SAPDBSID password)

sample : dbmcli -d LPP -n abwvds1 -u control,control user_sap SAPLPP,findme

{fcomment} {flike} {fshare}

Symptom : Whenever a user tries to open a document from a DMS using CV04N transaction, the user is neither able to open the document nor get any error message.

We had a peculiar issue in one of the SAP environment where the emails were failing intermittently, upon further detailed analysis, we understood that mails were failing whenever SAP server used a particular exchange server to process them.  As you all may know that we generally check  telnet 25 to check whether the SMTP is relayed for a particular client (SAP Server/host) or not, but in our case telnet to SMTP host was working absolutely fine, but still the problem was occurring intermittently.  In this article, I have described few other important steps to be taken to understand whether your SAP server is really authenticated to send mails through the exchange server configured in SCOT settings.
